The study of symmetry has always been one of the central topics in the filed of geometry. In this talk, we will present some results on the symmetry of Riemann-Finsler spaces. The main topics will include symmetric spaces, weakly symmetric spaces and geodesic orbit spaces. We will show that there is no intermediate stage between symmetric spaces and weakly symmetric spaces.
报告人简介：
邓少强，南开大学数学科学学院教授、博士生导师。主要从事李群与微分几何的研究，在Adv. Math., J. Reine Angew. Math，Trans. Amer. Math. Soc., Int. Math. Res. Not. IMRN, Math. Z.，Israel J. Math.等重要期刊发表论文100余篇SCI论文，2012年由Springer出版社纽约分社出版的独撰专著《Homogeneous Finsler Spaces》列入著名数学专著系列Springer Monographs in Mathematics中。已主持6项国家自然科学基金项目和2项教育部博士点基金项目。2003年入选教育部优秀青年教师资助计划，2004年入选新世纪优秀人才支持计划，2007年获宝钢优秀教师奖，2014年获全国高校自然科学二等奖（第一完成人），2015年获天津市教学名师奖，2016年获得天津市五一劳动奖章。是2013-2017年度和2018-2022年度教育部数学专业教学指导委员会委员。
